After lunch at Elkwallow Wayside, hike the 3.1-mile trail to Mary's Rock Summit for a breathtaking view of the Shenandoah Valley. Settle at Big Meadows Campground or check in at your hotel in Luray before driving to The Point Overlook to witness a stunning sunset.
Wake up early to secure a spot at Old Rag Parking Lot and embark on the park's iconic 9.3-mile hike, complete with rock scrambles and epic vistas. Afterward, reward yourself with a relaxing lunch and wine tasting at DuCard Vineyards. In the late afternoon, visit the serene overlooks of Buck Hollow, Hazel Mountain, and Stony Man before returning to camp or your hotel.
Start your morning with a peaceful sunrise hike to Hawksbill Summit, the highest point in the park. After breakfast, explore Dark Hollow Falls' 1.6-mile trail and the 3.8-mile Rose River Falls Loop, enjoying cascading waterfalls. Conclude your journey with lunch at Skyland's Pollock Dining Room and finish with a short 1.6-mile hike on the Stony Man Trail before heading back to DC.
